Heard multiple things. Dont know what's true. How much power and torque can a stock 6 Speed Allison trans take. Also curious how the DSP5 Switch is hooked in. Cant see how it works with an EFI Live system. Tried to research but no one explains. All input greatly appreciated!

Well it all depends what your doing with the truck. A max effort tune (230hp) won't hurt it if you drive like a grampa. If you beat the snot outta it like a 16 year old kid that gets stuff from mommy and daddy a ~90 hp tune will kill it in time. But they usually say a 5 speed will handle a 90hp and a 6 speed will take a 120hp tune. Keep in mind that's the usual, some will hold more power longer some will limp on first wot it all depends on your right foot how long the trans will last.
