Check the power at the amp and see if its pushing anything out. If you cut the wires and then connect a 9v batter to the wires it will make the speaker "pop" and by pop i mean make them make a sound..not kill them. You can do this for the speakers you think are fried.

You could have a bad wire, bad ground, bad amp, bad HU, bad anything really. I ripped out my bose stuff to go with aftermarket and still have a bunch of stuff left over. If you need something let me know.

Also your sub is located in the section of the center console that goes under the dash. Like in the piece below the little storage slots under your ac control. I believe they sell these trucks with a 7 speaker system and 9 speaker system so your truck may not come with the factory sub.

There are a lot better products besides bose but its all in how much money you want to spend. Most full packages professionally installed will run you between 2-2500.

 

Thanks for the reply. So I think the issue is the amp. I pulled apart the center console and found the amp and all the wires going to it. how do you pull it all apart to get the amp out? Do you have to pull a seat out to get at the amp? I had the center console out, cup holders and the two little storage slots, and I didnt notice a sub, is it lower (underneath the black stuff?)
If you still have the amp, what do you want for it, as that seems like it would be the easiest way to see if that is what does/does not work. I assume the amp is multi channel. The front speakers still work, when i pull the wire harness off the amp they too quit working. So I believe the one channel is still working but the channel for the rears is blown.

The amp is below the center console itself. Like the part where you put all your crap. Open up the lid and take the screws out on top. Then take out the rubber mat at the bottom and there are four more screws. After that the whole thing should pop out and you will see the amp directly below that. Pull the two plugs out and then uninstall the amp.

As for the sub it is on the back side of those black storage slots you took out. You can see it in the picture below.

 

Oh I will tear into it again, I didn't dig that deep to see if I had a sub. If it doesn't have a sub, with your amp can I run the sub too? Do you think my problem is in the amp? It only makes sense to me.

My bet is on the amp being bad. I have replaced a bunch of them, seems like if you spill anything in the cup holder it channels back to the amp. several that i have taken apart had soft drink or something in them.

 

Thanks for the reply, I am pretty sure its the amp too, logically speaking it makes sense. I did wipe up a lot of spills underneath the cup holders too.

So has anyone pulled out their rear dvd and have the remote or the stock head phones for the rear stereo?
