well my buddy gave me the ottamind 6 kit and i have am intake and exhaust so i was wondering what setting i should run the speed loader on

 

If you have a pyro run it on the highest setting, dont go over 1300, should be hard to get it that high though

 

so the 6th setting will be good. is it going to screw with my tranny?

true true. i just got the bd manifold and i am going to put it on tomarrow but the tranny i really want but i cant justify buying a tranny kit when the one in my truck is still good

 

It defuels for the tranny but dont hammer it in 5-6 gear, if you have a 6

 

well if i stack it with the quadzilla stealth 2 will that give me more power and fuel economy

i ordered the PPE hot 2 but i havent recieved it yet. at the same time i ordered the stealth 2 and i have recieved that one and i am pretty happy with it. but yesterday my buddy gave me the banks system and i was wondering what the power ratigs are. but now i am thinking about stacking the two

i am bascially experimenting with tuners to see which one i like. its prolly stupid to spend all that money. i should have just gone with EFI

 

You can always sell them later, EFI is hard but worth it
The Banks is a really nice kit unless you want to go really fast

I Would Find The One And Stick With It. I Read On HeRE That You Wont Get Full Benefit If You Tune With The Quad Then Ppe Or Visa-versa. Even Though You Return It To Stock They Say It Doesnt Return Exactly To The Gm Software. I Understand You Can Get Re-flashed For 45.00 When You Decide The One You Want To Get A Good Baseline.

I think they said that because PPE lost the dyno, its all hearsay

banks tuner or others

hello, to all,
new to the site and hope for some answers . i want to buy a tuner now that my warrenty is over. i have a 2007 1/2 sierra 2500 HD, LMM. with 24,000 miles on it. i pull a 14,000lb 5th wheel, and it does a good job.
i want a little more power, but i dont want to blow up the trans , i would like to get maybe 50 to 80 HP more. if i buy the banks economind, do i have to buy the 6 gun moniter on the dash ? or can i just get the economind with the 6 position switch on the dash?
also if the EGT temp gets to hot will the truck defuel so it doesnt hurt the engine? i know i have to drill and tap the manifold for the sensor. is there any other brand that would be just as good or better then the banks?
i dont want to mess with the exhaust just yet, i already installed the AFE air box and that took away almost all the turbo lag, works great. thank you for any help you can give me. joe

 

I can't help with the tuner, but wanted to ask; You installed an AFE intake (air box) and your turbo spools up quicker? I have a K&N and my turbo is still sleeping when I get to my destination, but from what I understand there is no "seat of the pants" feel or obvious changes when you add any air box. Does anyone else's truck spool up faster with a upgraded air intake? If so, I guess I need one.

i did notice a little more power but like i said before the turbo lag is almost gone and you will notice it right away. i went with the afe because it was the dry filter, , i read that the k&n has the oil one and sometimes it can mess up your MAS air snsor if to much oil is on the filter. still need some help with the tuners. thanks for the come back.

 

Sierra, I have the 6 gun without the dash monitor, but guages are always a good thing.

Dakster, I noticed a considerable different with the CAI but I also added the Monster exaust at the same time.
