Well for tranny safety and shift on the fly usage....I would say Banks would probably be your best bet to not kill the truck. But personally I feel that if you are going to tow with a programmer....the only safe bet is to upgrade the tranny...and if that's the situation...there are other programmers that can get you more power. But for a stock tranny....I would get Banks.
Ok cause i got it at a good price new. Were going to do the banks intake and a custom 4" and a bigger tranny cooler. Dads just going to be towing a 33' foot trailer from here in canada up to the states and stuff. Just thought it be nice if he felt the truck was a bit under powered he could turn the dial up one or two to get a bit more pull.
I think its a great tuner, i run it on my LLY. Im goona sell mine though, because i want to run EFI live. im shooting for the 500hp range. but i love the pda set up with the banks.
i looking around for one for my LLy as well. i want the PDA setup, but im going to use a Palm TX, you have to mod the PDA cradle a bit , but it is a much better PDA. and you can still get them off ebay for cheaper than getting it from banks.
also there are a couple of guys on ebay selling the six gun with the PDA cradle and no pda. so this works out well if you want to save some money
