01 ecm used as 03 ecm?

swapped my 01 cab with a 03 cab, swapped the front end fuse box everything that goes with the 03 except for the engine, harness (from fuse box to ecm,tcm and over to engine), now i traced down the wiring from alldata and found out that the 03 model uses the ecm to trigger the starter and a few funtions for the a/c to work properly.

does my 01 ecm/tcm function the same as the 03?

do i just need to re-program the ecm/tcm?

or do i have to pick up a new ecm/tcm for the 03?

any insight is much needed here. i miss my truck it has been down since april when the guy stole it and wrecked itfuck.

Just get it re flashed with the proper OS

talked to Lorenzo over at so cal diesel and he said 01 was the stand off year and not interchangeable with the other years. so looks like i need a new ecm

Social diesel? Odd I run the 6006 OS which is a later year OS than 01...

Talked To Tony Yesterday With Ridge Runner Diesel He Said I Could Send My Ecm/Tcm To HiM And He Can Flash The New Os System To Run The Engine Plus He Has A Grate Summer Sale Right Now:neener
